and deliver high-quality, specialist teaching in safe, fun and inclusive environments. Our aim is to ensure that every child, regardless of their background, can fulfil their potential through fun, engaging classes in acting, singing and dance. This teaches them not only performance technique but also transferable skills which will last a lifetime; building relationships, decision making, critical thinking as well as social mobility.
We are looking for an experienced Early Years (Tinies) tutor (teaching ages 3-6 yrs) to join our
Saturday school
to teach from 9.30am-1pm with half hour set up prior.
Your ability to commit to 36 term-time sessions is paramount as we pride ourselves on continuity and the progression of our learners
.
Responsibilities:
Develop fun lesson plans and teaching materials to meet the needs of students.
Deliver engaging lessons based around specified discipline.
Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests in the arts.
Provide individualised instruction to students to help them master subject matter and improve their stage performance.
Assess student progress and provide feedback on a regular basis.
Write annual report for each student.
Ensure a safe and comfortable learning environment for students.
Work as part of a team to help put on productions and showcases involving young people.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching young children and a commitment to helping students reach their full potential. The Tutor will be responsible for providing individualised instruction in fields of acting, singing and dancing specifically for young children. The successful candidate will be patient, organised, and have excellent communication skills. Candidate should be suited to working with young children and have plenty of positive energy.
Qualifications:
Formal Qualification(s) in Musical Theatre/Music/Vocals/Dance/Acting/Early Years (Bachelor's Preferred)
Experience of working with 3 - 6-year-olds (Essential)
Good working knowledge of current dance styles and teaching strategies.
A 'team' player with the ability to work flexibly as part of a diverse team.
Excellent oral communication skills, especially in relation to staff, students and parents/guardians.
Positive, enthusiastic, empathetic, energetic, flexible with a pro-active 'can do' attitude.
DBS checked or willing to obtain one. (We will assist with this.)
Safeguarding and/or First Aid (desirable but not essential)
