About Lancashire Boys & Girls Clubs (LABGC)
Lancashire Boys & Girls Clubs is an independent youth charity providing positive experiences and personal development opportunities for young people in communities across Lancashire. We work closely with member clubs and partner organisations to engage, inspire and support young people -- particularly those who are vulnerable or disadvantaged.
Role Purpose
The Activities & Membership Manager will play a key leadership role in managing and developing LABGC's menu of activities, projects, programmes and club network. They will act as the main liaison for all member clubs, maintaining direct communication and ensuring clubs feel supported, valued, and connected to the wider Association. They will be responsible for membership development, management, and 'shepherding' -- helping clubs to grow, strengthen governance, and access opportunities. The postholder will ensure that LABGC's services are high quality, well-organised, and responsive to the evolving needs of young people and member clubs.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
Act as the main point of contact and liaison for all member clubs.
Maintain regular, positive communication and provide guidance, support and encouragement to member clubs.
Lead membership development -- promoting affiliation, onboarding new clubs, and maintaining accurate membership records.
Oversee all LABGC activity delivery and club membership management.
Line-manage delivery staff and allocate activity bookings.
Direct delivery of activities as required
Visit each member club at least once per year.
Uphold high delivery standards and evaluate programme impact.
Help design, plan and review accredited and non-accredited youth programmes.
Manage equipment, resources and health & safety requirements.
Identify new activities and support funding bids where required.
Coordinate LABGC's annual programme of county-wide activities.
Monitoring and Reporting
Maintain accurate data on clubs, programmes, and outcomes using management information systems (MIS).
Produce concise reports for the Association and funding bodies.
Evaluate delivery effectiveness and implement improvements.
Communications and Partnerships
Build strong working relationships with LABGC staff, member clubs, partners and stakeholders.
Represent LABGC at meetings, networks and events as required.
Promote LABGC's work through appropriate channels, including social media, newsletters, and community networks.
Finance and Resources
Monitor income and expenditure for projects and activities.
Liaise with the Finance Officer regarding bookings, payments and budgets.
Manage and maintain activity equipment and other operational resources.
Safeguarding and Compliance
Ensure safeguarding is central to all activity planning and delivery.
Follow LABGC policies and maintain up-to-date safeguarding training.
Support compliance with Health & Safety and Equality policies.
General
Respond to correspondence and enquiries professionally.
Support colleagues, volunteers, and students as required.
Participate in personal and professional development.
Undertake any other duties consistent with the role and organisational needs.
Appointment is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.

E. Minimum 2 years' experience working with young people
