DORA ROSE CARE HOME

is a new addition to the

MACC CARE

family and welcomed its first residents in November 2019. We are continuing to build our staff team as we fully open the home including our Memory Suite and are looking to recruit special people to offer the highest standards of care in this 71-bed state-of-the-art care home offering a range of facilities and living space designed specifically around care and comfort. Our care team enjoy working at Dora Rose with its beautiful location and exceptional surroundings and through their care, dedication and professionalism have created a happy home for the residents and their families

Activities and Well Being Coordinator - WHAT WILL YOUR ROLE INCLUDE?

.To participate in enhancing the intellectual and social wellbeing of the residents to provide as far as possible, a happy and stimulating experience. Help residents to socialise within the Care Home. To deliver a high level of personal and psychological care to all residents in a professional manner. To maintain good communication levels with Manager, Nurses, Senior Care Assistants, Chef and relatives to ensure smooth operation of role and high levels of co-operation. Support all areas of team working within the home, to the extent that the role remains an integral element of the daily routines. To update the Care Home website & social media with reviews from Care Home website, events, activities and current news via the designated creative communications company. To ensure the individual rights of residents and staff are safeguarded in accordance with the Home's philosophy of care by being aware of the working practices and activities being actioned. To plan ongoing weekly activity rotas in conjunction with the residents wishes and encourage residents to maintain pre-existing hobbies. To Coordinate the activities program with other services in the facility. To encourage staff members, relatives and friends to participate in the Homes activities. To work individually and within the team to provide the necessary back up for all staff, to a standard commensurate with aims and objectives of the Home and in consideration of its residents To encourage involvement in the local community. To assist the Home Manager in planning the Homes special events such as summer fetes, coffee mornings, Christmas lunches/dinners etc and including Care Home events such as Macmillan Coffee Morning and National Care Home Open day. To create ideas and proposals that can be used across various platforms to support and promote the business. To complete records using the agreed Macc Care format and agree on monthly updates with your Home Manager.
