Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Activity Assistant to join our team in providing engaging and meaningful activities for residents in a care home setting. The ideal candidate will support the well-being of seniors by organising and facilitating a variety of recreational programmes tailored to individual needs. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of older adults, Experience is desirable, but a genuine passion for caregiving and excellent communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

Plan, organise, and lead a diverse range of activities designed to promote socialisation, mental stimulation, and physical engagement among residents. Foster a warm and inclusive environment that encourages participation from residents with varying levels of ability. Support residents with personalised activities that cater to their interests, including reminiscence therapy, arts and crafts, music sessions, and light physical exercises. Assist residents during activities ensuring their safety and comfort at all times. Collaborate closely with care staff to assess individual needs and adapt activities accordingly. Maintain accurate records of participation and resident preferences to inform future activity planning. Promote positive interactions among residents, encouraging social bonds and community spirit.
