Residential Care home are pleased to advertise a vacancy for an Activity Coordinator to join our team and to provide care and support to our residents based in Victoria Park, Ayr

Activities Coordinator responsibilities



You should preferably have experience in working in a Care environment for the elderly demonstrating a high level of knowledge in personal care and compassion. You should be confident in escorting residents to and from various activities and events within and out with the home and be happy to take on some carer based duties from time to time. This role would suit someone who has worked in care but would like to enhance their experience by adapting into this new environment. Knowing the needs of our residents and getting to know their likes and dislikes is a major part of this role.



The key purpose of this role is to provide and participate in activities with our residents ensuring a high level of leadership and organisation skills are demonstrated.

Duties include but are not limited to:



Organising and coordinating social activities and events Participating in, and organising suitable outings Completing all relevant paperwork and documentation as required Ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to Attending all relevant and mandatory in house training Forward planning and providing entertainment schedule for residents Assisting residents with personal care when required Assisting residents with mobility when needed Assisting residents with eating and drinking Ensuring residents environment is clean and safe Reporting any issues or changes in a residents condition to Senior Carer or Management Spending quality time with residents both on an individual basis and within a group setting Participating in resident meetings and providing outcomes

Experience preferred



Previous experience working in a Care Home environment Computer literate
The successful applicant must register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and apply for a PVG with Disclosure Scotland (help will be provided for both)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 13.00 per hour
