As a Wellbeing Coordinator, you will play a key role in enhancing our residents' physical, emotional, and social wellbeing.
Job Purpose:
The Wellbeing Coordinator is responsible for designing and delivering a stimulating and inclusive programme of activities tailored to the needs, interests, and abilities of our residents. You will work closely with the care team, residents, and their families to create meaningful experiences that promote engagement, independence, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities that promote wellbeing, including physical, cognitive, emotional, and social engagement.
Liaise with residents, families, and the care team to develop personalised activity plans based on individual needs and preferences.
Encourage and support participation from all residents, including those living with dementia or complex needs.
Coordinate and host events, seasonal celebrations, and visits from local community groups or entertainers.
Maintain accurate records of activities, attendance, and outcomes to help evaluate effectiveness and improve engagement.
Create and maintain a positive, vibrant atmosphere within the home through themed days, decorations, and inclusive practices.
Ensure all activities comply with health and safety guidelines and align with CQC standards for resident wellbeing.
Contribute to care planning where appropriate by providing insights into residents' emotional and social needs.
Qualifications and Experience:Essential:
Passionate about enriching the lives of older people and those with care needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Creative, enthusiastic, and proactive approach.
Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the changing needs of residents.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Desirable:
Previous experience in an activities or wellbeing role in a care home or similar setting.
Understanding of person-centred approaches.
NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
Basic IT skills for activity planning and record-keeping.
