Activities Coordinator - Carlingford Lodge Nursing Home, Warrenpoint. Located in Warrenpoint, Carlingford Lodge Care Home is a modern, purpose-built nursing home, that supports people with physical needs who require assistance and care. The homely and comfortable environment enables them to provide person-centred care tailored to the needs of residents. The dedicated and trained staff team provide a high standard of care to enhance the resident\xe2\x80\x99s quality of life. The home is designed to meet the needs of the people supported, with a comfortable lounge, dining areas and a fabulous arts and activities room. The attractive enclosed gardens and patio also provide residents with a relaxing place to sit and enjoy the outdoors. Main Purpose of the Role Required to coordinate and organise all social and recreational activity. To plan, implement and evaluate social activities across the home in order to improve mental and emotional wellbeing and quality of life of residents.

  • Prepare, plan and deliver group and individual recreational and occupational activities, observing, recording and reporting resident response.
  • Ensure the effective, timely and accurate updating of records, case files and computerised information systems.
  • Contribute to surveys, audits and clinical research projects assisting with collection, analysis and presentation of data and information as directed.
  • Observe and monitor the wellbeing of residents ensuring that any unusual physical, mental or emotional occurrences are promptly referred to more senior staff and documented as appropriate.
Experience
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent with a good standard of English.
  • Experience will have been gained within an elderly care environment.
