The Role:

As our Activities Coordinator Extraordinaire, you'll be the life and soul of the party, crafting and delivering a whirlwind of social and recreational activities for our wonderful residents. Flexibility is your middle name as you work around their needs, bringing joy and excitement every single day. Got a passion for working with the elderly? Check. Love a good sing-along and dance-off? Double check.

Your Superpowers:

Conjure up and launch a dazzling array of activities tailored to our residents' interests and abilities. Host group shindigs and provide one-on-one fun for our residents. Adapt activities for residents with dementia - patience and creativity are key! Cultivate a positive and inclusive vibe in our care home. Team up with care staff to weave activities into residents' daily lives. Keep track of activities and participation - you're organized and on the ball. Cheer on and support residents, boosting their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

What You Bring:

Experience in a similar role - you've been there, done that, and have the stories to prove it. A knack for creating and leading engaging activities for the elderly. Experience working with people with dementia - you're patient, adaptable, and a creative problem-solver. Stellar communication and people skills. Organizational wizardry and superb time management. Independence and teamwork skills - you're a lone wolf and a pack player.

Situated on the outskirts of the lovely town of Elgin in Moray, Scotland, the Spynie Care home is a modern, purpose built facility dedicated to the care of elderly people.



Set across three wings, named after local castles (Brodie, Duffus and Cawdor) our premises provides an excellent range of communal areas and gardens for our residents to enjoy and our committed team of staff are on hand 24/7 to provide high quality care.
