Milford Care are looking for a wonderful new activities coordinator to join our fantastic, hard-working team at Milford House care home on a temporary basis.

Milford House offers exceptional care within a beautiful grade II listed Georgian manor house close to Duffield and Belper.

Details of this position and what the home is offering:

Temporary, full-time contract, working days with alternate weekends

Rate of pay is 12.79 p/h with an extra 15p per hour if NVQ qualified

What We Are Looking For In our Activities Coordinator:

A pro-active person who will think of new ways to fundraise for our residents

Experience working in a UK nursing home setting is preferable but not vital as training will be required. Preferably you will have a keen interest in working in older peoples' services

A flexible approach to working with availability at weekends

You will be compassionate and respectful and able to build relationships with colleagues and those that you care for

To help to enable our residents to live fulfilling and enjoyable lives, through a range of activities.

Your Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

To ensure all residents are asked if they would like to participate in all activities.

To ensure an activity is organised for each morning and afternoon every day of the week.

To ensure you gather information from each resident, including 'This is Me' sheets, informing of their likes and dislikes, hobbies and interests.

To ensure a wide variety of interests are covered.

To ensure all residents are able to participate in some form of activity.

Cater to all residents.

To liaise with manager as to needs and availability of equipment.

To ensure you document on a daily basis all the residents who have taken part in each activity.

To ensure you care for all our residents in an appropriate manner and provide adequate safety precautious during each activity.

Make activity planners, and liaise with the care and catering staff to inform of all upcoming plans.
