Lead Activity Coordinator

to bring creativity, compassion, and leadership to our Activities Team.

Your Role

- Working 4 days on and 3 days off each week, (does include every other weekend) as Lead Activity Coordinator, you'll be the driving force behind our activity team--designing and delivering experiences that uplift, engage, and empower our residents. You'll lead a team of coordinators and volunteers, ensuring every activity reflects the individuality and dignity of those we care for.

Key Responsibilities



Lead and mentor the Activities Team to deliver a rich and varied calendar of events. Champion

choice, independence, and dignity

in all resident interactions. Plan and facilitate activities tailored to residents' interests, abilities, and cultural backgrounds. Maintain high staffing levels to support personalised engagement. Collaborate with care staff, families, and external entertainers to enhance wellbeing. Uphold our core values:

. Monitor feedback and outcomes to continuously improve our offerings.

Experience in a similar role within elderly care, hospitality, or community services. Strong leadership and organisational skills. A warm, empathetic nature and a genuine passion for enriching lives. Creativity and confidence in planning engaging, inclusive activities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A proactive mindset and a commitment to putting people first.

Qualifications Required:


- Previous experience in a similar role within a nursing home or assisted living environment
- Understanding of dementia care principles and techniques
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with residents, families, and staff members effectively
- Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in enhancing the quality of life for elderly residents
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Health and Social Care is desirable

Pay: From 13.00 per hour
