Job Details
We believe all young people should be encouraged to maximise their potential and work towards meeting their varying needs. If appointed, you will support delivery of the EasyP programme in a caring, safe and welcoming environment as part of a team. Easyp is for young people preparing to leave school or already left school under the age of 19, offering a range of employability programmes, training opportunities, work placements and provides additional support to help find a job

You will have a range of responsibilities including:

  • Plan, organise and implement structured learning programmes and activities.
  • Support young people to address individual learning needs.
  • Engage young people in activities which raise confidence and aspirations.
  • Work positively with young people aged 16 - 18 years in a structured learning
environment.
  • Develop and deliver learning opportunities and programmes appropriate to
the learner\'s needs and abilities.
  • Engage young people in learning to help support them towards, and into work.
  • Provide support and guidance to enable young people to achieve their
learning goals.
  • Contribute towards the learning and development of young people through the
identification of appropriate progression routes and intended destinations.

The Person

If you meet the essential qualification criteria outlined below, we\'d like to hear from you:
  • Group facilitation skills
  • Ability to handle challenging situations confidently
  • Ability to motivate young people and encourage participation
  • Ability to develop positive relationships with young people
You should have significant experience in a youth work setting, experience of developing and delivering learning and education programmes with young people, good organisational skills and an ability to plan programmes around the needs of young people.

Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
