Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Activity Coordinator to join our team in providing enriching experiences for residents in our care home. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in care, particularly with individuals living with dementia, and will be dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for our residents through engaging activities. This role requires excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for caring for others.

Duties

Plan, organise, and implement a variety of activities tailored to the interests and abilities of residents in assisted living, nursing home, and dementia care settings. Facilitate group activities that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and physical well-being. Collaborate with care staff to ensure that all activities are aligned with the individual care plans of residents. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to encourage participation and gather feedback on activities. Maintain accurate records of resident participation and preferences to continually enhance activity offerings. Ensure that all activities are conducted in a safe environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Experience

Previous experience in an activity coordination role within a senior care environment is desirable. Familiarity with dementia care practices is highly advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with seniors and their families. A caring attitude and commitment to providing high-quality support to residents in a care home setting. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
