Overview


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Activity Coordinator to join our team in providing enriching and engaging activities for residents in our care home settings.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for enhancing the quality of life for seniors, particularly those requiring dementia care.

This role is pivotal in fostering a vibrant community atmosphere, ensuring that all residents feel valued and included.

The Activity Coordinator is a very important piece in The Willows current effort to foster vibrant culture shift and very engaging activities for resident.

Responsibilities



Develop and implement a diverse range of activities tailored to the interests and abilities of residents. Coordinate with staff to ensure activities are well-organised and run smoothly. Engage with residents to encourage participation and provide support during activities. Assess the effectiveness of activities and gather feedback from residents and staff to improve future programming. Maintain accurate records of resident participation and preferences. Collaborate with families and caregivers to create personalised activity plans that cater to individual needs. Ensure a safe environment during all activities, adhering to health and safety regulations. Manage the social media pages of the care home and provide content creation ideas across differrent platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok. Lead a small team of activity creators and staff to foster knowledge management and innovation.

Skills



Experience in assisted living, nursing home, or care home settings is highly desirable. STRONG communication skills, with the ability to connect with seniors and their families effectively. A genuine passion for wellbeing and fun loving environment, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards residents' needs. Knowledge of dementia care practices is an advantage. Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple activities simultaneously. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. Creativity in developing engaging programmes that stimulate physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Strong IT and digital management skills. Ability to manage social media pages and drive innovation.

Pay: 12.21-12.50 per hour
