This Activity Co-Ordinator role is working for a globally operating player in the world of agricultural chemicals. The company is investing around \xc2\xa350million into the UK operation in West Yorkshire over the course of the next 4 years, building on an already reputable brand and manufacturing site of around 350 people. Their leading products, including proven active ingredients, are packaged to deliver practical solutions in continuing to support British Agriculture and offer stability to those employed by them.

As the Activity Co-ordinator the primary purpose of the role is to work with related personnel and support functions to coordinate, prioritise and plan site activities. It covers the role of being \xe2\x80\x98Gatekeeper\xe2\x80\x99 in the Maintenance Work Processes providing a resource with site knowledge and experience to coordinate local site activities to ensure they create value in a safe and optimal manner.

To maintain their status as a market trailblazer within the sector, this organisation has ambitious but stable expansion and investment strategies over the next 5-10 years in which this individual as Activity Co-Ordinator will be key to delivering and facilitating.

Responsibilities of the Activity Co-Ordinator is to:-

  • Ensures service requests are value adding and align with the Business, Function, Site Plan and team goals.
  • Performs the role of Gate Keeper in the Engineering Maintenance Work Process.
  • Ensures work requests are clearly defined, scheduled and completed. Reviews work status with service providers and originators.
  • Determines if plans are required for service requests and coordinates resources for plan development.
  • Determines adequacy of Operating procedures and plans for new service requests.
  • Routes work requests originating within the Plant to the appropriate work group or service provider. Assess the added value of the work request. Liaise with external party if required.
  • Actively participate in the schedule update meetings and decide which jobs are to be included in the schedule.
  • Issues permits for jobs that are complex or span several days.
  • Assist with developing work packs for routine tasks in collaboration with Production and Engineering teams.
  • Identify improvements based on equipment reliability, default frequencies and criticality.
  • Ensures appropriate resources are allocated to perform tasks and activities.
  • Works with Production & Maintenance Planners and other expertise to coordinate Start Up / Shutdown timing and Production plan adherence.
  • Support plant personal in identifying root causes of plant failures and implementing robust solutions. Coach and train plant personal in best operational practices (i.e equipment care).
  • Conducts post shutdown reviews of startup/shutdown to identify and incorporate opportunities for improvement.
To be successful in this position as a Activity Co-Ordinator, you will have a number of years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in production or maintenance department. An Engineering degree is required as well as experience and knowledge of what is required to work on a Chemical manufacturing site would certainly be advantageous.
