We are looking for a compassionate, creative, and energetic Activities Co-ordinator to help enhance the daily experience of residents in our care home. You will plan and deliver a wide range of meaningful, person-centred activities that support residents' physical, emotional, and social well-being, including those living with dementia.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities based on residents' interests, abilities, and care plans.
Promote inclusion, engagement, and enjoyment for residents with differing physical or cognitive needs.
Incorporate seasonal, cultural and community events into the activity schedule.
Maintain accurate records of participation and outcomes to support care planning.
Work closely with care staff, families, and community groups to enhance the activity offering.
Encourage resident feedback and adapt activities to meet changing needs.
Maintain safe, clean and well-organised activity areas.
Skills & Experience
Experience in event planning, recreational therapy, or senior care (including dementia support).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent planning, organisation and record-keeping abilities.
Ability to motivate and engage residents with diverse needs.
Understanding of person-centred care principles.
Compassionate, patient and creative approach.
