If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dedicated team as an Activity Co-ordinator at the Riverside Centre in Hillingdon Hospital.



We welcome individuals who can draw on their unique creative strengths to design engaging, recreational experiences that support and motivate patients throughout their recovery.



As part of your role, you will:



Receive regular supervision from an Occupational Therapist Be invited to attend the Healthcare Support Worker Community of Practice forum Access ongoing training through CNWL Learning and Development and the Recovery & Wellbeing College Be encouraged to reflect, learn, and develop professionally in a supportive environment

You will work across two open acute mental health wards and one Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit , as part of a team of six Activity Co-ordinators. You may occasionally be asked to provide cover on additional wards as needed.



The role involves planning and delivering a varied programme of social, creative, and skills-based activities , both in group settings and on an individual basis. These activities promote social inclusion, recovery, and a sense of purpose, and are offered both on the wards and within the local community .

The Activity Co-ordinator role is a dynamic and rewarding patient-facing role, central to delivering holistic care and supporting the smooth operation of an inpatient acute mental health ward.



You will need to be creative and possess determination to continually improve / adapt and mould the offers of therapeutic, recovery and skill-based groups in order to promote recovery and independence amongst our service users.



We are looking for someone who has:



Good communication skills:

verbal and written, English to GCSE or equivalent

Experience in facilitating groups and individual activities

Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment

Demonstrate an understanding of the needs and experiences of individuals with severe and enduring mental health conditions

To provide interventions with personal recovery principles in order to improve the service users' quality of life and to support them to do the things they want to do and live the life they want to lead.

To facilitate a programme of social, creative and skills-based activities to both individuals and groups which promotes social inclusion for service users.

To work closely with the Multi Disciplinary Team (MDT) in leading on the facilitation of client centred activities.
