Job Description

The Activity Lead will be responsible for coordinating the provision of group, and individual therapeutic activity working, alongside the care team to ensure a whole team approach to the provision of social stimulation and meaningful occupation for people living with mental health issues.

Flexibility required within working hours, providing a presence and support to the team during evening and weekend activity.

Duties:

Overall management and leadership of the Activities Team.

Leading the activity team to work across the home, ensuring the provision of person-centred activity.

Assess residents and develop activity plans with reference to developing new skills and enhancing old skills that have been lost or used infrequently.

Work with the multi-disciplinary to help prepare an individual rehabilitation/activity programme for each resident and deliver the programme to progress enablement.

Safety:

To promote the safety of residents undertaking any arranged activity: for example, with road safety, use of kitchen equipment such as ovens, hobs, knives, road safety, engagement with the public etc.

Risk assessments must be completed for all activities where risks may occur, taking in to consideration the residents past and current behaviours.

Rate of pay negotiable dependent and experience and qualifications.
