We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Activity Team Leader to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging activities that promote physical activity, teamwork, and personal development. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your skills in sports coaching and/or teaching to inspire participants of all ages. The Activity Team Leader will work closely with our Activity Leads to create a positive and inclusive environment that encourages participation and enjoyment.
Responsibilities
Plan, organise, and lead a variety of health and wellbeing activities, including sports, games and educational programmes.
Foster a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all participants.
Adapt activities to suit different age groups and skill levels, ensuring accessibility for everyone.
Provide coaching and instruction in sports or physical activities, promoting teamwork, fair play, and personal growth.
Monitor participant engagement and provide encouragement to maximise participation.
Maintain equipment and activity areas in a safe and organised manner.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop new programmes and improve existing activities based on participant feedback.
Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements
Proven experience in sports coaching, fitness or physical activity teaching roles is highly desirable.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan engaging programmes tailored to diverse groups.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire participants of all ages.
A passion for promoting physical activity, health, and wellbeing.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Relevant qualifications in sports coaching or education are advantageous but not essential.
