Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Speciality Medicine Division to become the Ward Manager for C5 Acute Medicine and Endocrine Ward. It is a 27 bedded unit in the Louisa Martindale Building.



We are looking for a dynamic individual with exceptional leadership skills to motivate and co-ordin ate the unit's nursing team daily activities in delivering outstanding care.



Y ou will be supported within your role by an experienced clinical matron.



This role is eligible for visa sponsorship under the UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) Skilled Worker route however sponsorship can only be provided where applicants meet the specific requirements set by UKVI, including the relevant skill and salary thresholds (25000), and any role-specific criteria.



The ward manager will be an integral member of the divisional management team supporting the division in the active delivery of all key performance targets. They will be accountable for the provision of effective professional nursing leadership and proactive resource management for the clinical area. As an experienced practitioner, the post holder will be expected to focus on providing a clean environment for care, ensuring best practice in infection control, improving clinical care standards and treating patients with dignity and respect within the define resource allocated.

They are expected to motivate, inspire, develop, and lead a dynamic team using a tailored or flexible approach. The successful candidate will ensure themselves and the team maintain clinical and professional competence in line with the standards of the NMC.
