Gladstones Clinic is a private residential treatment centre providing evidence-based therapy and medical care for individuals recovering from addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions. Our multidisciplinary team offers a structured, compassionate environment where clients can explore the root causes of addiction and develop tools for lasting recovery.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and accredited Therapist to join our clinical team on a full-time basis. You will deliver group therapy sessions, facilitate psycho-educational workshops, and provide one-to-one counselling to clients within our residential setting. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting recovery, who thrives in a collaborative and trauma-informed environment.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate daily group therapy and psycho-educational workshops
Deliver one-to-one counselling in line with individual treatment plans
Contribute to care planning and progress reviews
Maintain accurate, timely, and professional clinical notes
Work closely with therapists, nurses, prescribers, and recovery staff
Support clients through challenging emotional processes using a trauma-informed approach
Participate in team meetings, clinical supervision, and reflective practice
About You
Accredited with BACP, NCPS, or UKCP (required)
Minimum 3 years' experience in addiction, counselling, or mental health treatment settings
Skilled in group facilitation and managing interpersonal dynamics
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Compassionate, self-aware, and professional approach
Desirable
Knowledge of Polyvagal Theory and Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Experience with 12-Step, CBT, or integrative therapeutic models
Previous experience in residential or detox treatment environments
