Addictions Therapist (Eating Disorder & Addiction Treatment Service)

About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Addictions Therapist to join our specialist team in a leading mental health and addiction treatment facility. The service offers world-class residential and outpatient support for individuals struggling with mental health conditions, including depression, substance misuse, and eating disorders. We also offer assessments for CAMHS and adult autism services.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate psycho-educational and relapse prevention therapy groups tailored to addiction recovery Deliver individual therapy sessions to support patients' personalised recovery goals Conduct comprehensive assessments and create detailed, person-centred treatment plans Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a supportive, inclusive working environment Participate in supervision, peer support groups, and appraisals to ensure professional growth and well-being Maintain excellent communication skills with a flexible, patient-focused approach

Requirements:

A minimum of Level 5 Diploma in Counselling or equivalent professional qualification in addictions Full accreditation with BABCP (or relevant body) Experience in addiction services, particularly with abstinence-based and 12-step informed treatments Demonstrated resilience and emotional intelligence to manage challenging scenarios Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of care and professional development
