Life Works, located in Woking, Surrey, is a highly respected private rehabilitation centre with a unique therapeutic environment, leading the way in addiction and eating disorder treatment. We treat up to 18 low risk private patients for addictions and eating disorders in a Georgian house surrounded by beautiful gardens. We are easily accessible from the A3 and M25 and a 30 min walk from Woking Train station. The successful candidate ?needs to be essentially an accredited therapist (or due to be accredited within a year) (HCPC/BACP/UKCP) with experience of eating disorders.
An opportunity has arisen for a fully qualified and accredited Addictions Therapist with experience of delivering group therapy to join our team of therapists who support the running of our Addiction Treatment Programme in our private acute mental health setting.
The successful candidate ?needs to have experience of working as a therapist with addictions. Level 4 or higher qualification in Counselling or equivalent. Experience facilitating Group therapy. Understanding of the 12 step Minnesota model of addiction. Experience delivering relapse prevention workshops and other relevant psychoeducational topics. The ideal candidate will also have experience with DBT and Motivational Interviewing
The successful candidate would work as part of a highly experienced a multi-disciplinary team with low risk and privately funded eating disorder clients. The candidate would be expected to deliver group and individual therapy for our clients who are on a 28 day (or longer) programme. Case load would also consist of ward rounds, support groups and outpatient therapy. Life Works is a unique service where clients come to receive high quality therapy and Nursing care in their early stages of recovery; within a therapeutic and community inspired environment.
