Additional Trustee (Voluntary) - Dundee University Students' Association (DUSA)

Dundee, Scotland | Voluntary Role | 2-year term, renewable up to 6 years

DUSA exists to support and represent over 15,000 students at the University of Dundee. We are a registered Scottish charity providing support, representation, activities, and services to help students succeed and thrive.

We are seeking Additional Trustees to join our Board and play a vital role in ensuring we remain financially sustainable, legally compliant, and student-focused. This is an exciting time to get involved as we develop our next strategic plan.

What you'll do:

Contribute to strategic oversight and direction Ensure good governance, transparency, and integrity Oversee financial sustainability and risk management Support legal and regulatory compliance Bring experience, judgement, and independence to Board discussions

What we're looking for:

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds. You might bring skills in governance, finance, risk management, strategic planning, or organisational leadership. We value:

Strong strategic thinking and sound judgement Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion Collaborative, constructive communication Understanding of governance in any sector Connection to Dundee, its campus, or the local community (desirable)

Commitment:

Board meetings every 6 weeks (evenings), plus sub-committee meetings before each Board.
