Psicon is a specialist neurodevelopmental service working both privately and with various NHS trusts to provide autism and ADHD assessments. We are an independent organisation, but most of our work is for the NHS, whom we are proud to support. Assessments are carried out by our team of associate clinicians from a range of clinical backgrounds, in satellite clinics across the country and remotely. About the Role




The role is based in the centre of

Canterbury, Kent

(Please note there is no onsite parking). We operate a 7 days a week service with the core working week for this role

Monday-Friday,

hours are

09:00-17:00

(30 minute break) with

4 days in office /1 day WFH (37.5h contract)

. Candidates will also be asked to work approx. 1 weekend day every 4 weeks, to provide "on call" management support to the weekend teams.


The Service Manager is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing teams, and ensuring service delivery meets quality and performance standards across PMI and Private functions within the ADHD Service. This role involves line management, performance reviews, workflow oversight, and process improvement. The Service Manager also plays a vital role in communication, stakeholder engagement, and capacity planning to ensure services run efficiently and effectively. Strong leadership, strategic thinking, data driven decision making, and the ability to foster a high-performing team culture are essential to success in this role.


Principle duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Lead and manage service operations, ensuring alignment with organisational goals,
contract requirements, and clinical quality standards.
Provide effective line management to team leads, senior administrators, and
administrators.
Oversee all operational activity and task workflows across the service. Monitor KPIs, audit outcomes, service targets, incident logs, and quality indicators, report
findings to the Head of Operations and Directors.
Collaborate with the Client Experience and Quality teams to review service feedback,
investigate complaints and incidents, and identify and implement Corrective and

Preventative Actions (CAPAs).
Work with the Head of Operations, and wider clinical logistics teams to ensure clinician
capacity meets service demand.
Act as a key point of contact for external stakeholders, ensuring timely and professional
responses to service-level queries.
Share critical updates and communications throughout the service to ensure alignment
and transparency.

Person Specification



Proven leadership experience in a target-driven operational environment. Experience in private or NHS healthcare systems desirable. Experience managing teams of 20+ employees. Ability to collate, analyse, and present data for decision-making and performance
tracking.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, aligned with Psicon's core values. Ability to think strategically while managing operational detail. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team towards productivity. Professional confidence when working with internal and external stakeholders. Willingness to escalate concerns where KPIs/targets are at risk.
