We are looking for motivated and reliable Butcher Operatives to join our team in a fast paced Afro-Caribbean Shop. No prior experience is necessary - full training will be provided. This is a hands-on role involving meat preparation, customer service, and maintaining stock level
Key Responsibilities:
Meat Preparation & Cutting:
Safely and efficiently cut, trim, and portion pre-packed meat products according to specifications.
Ensure all products meet quality, hygiene, and presentation standards.
Operate and maintain knives, saws, and other cutting equipment in line with safety guidelines.
Supporting day-to-day shop operations as needed
Customer Service & Sales:
Serve customers in a friendly, professional, and helpful manner.
Provide product information, recommend cuts, and answer customer queries.
Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.
Inventory & Stock Control:
Receive and offload deliveries.
Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering to maintain product availability.
Rotate stock to ensure freshness and reduce waste.
Accurately record deliveries, usage, and wastage in inventory systems.
Compliance & Hygiene:
Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
Maintain clean and organised work areas, equipment, and display counters.
Comply with company policies and legal requirements for food handling.

Must have the right to work in the UK
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Comfortable with manual handling and lifting moderate weights.
Capable of working in chilled environments.
