We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data infrastructure to support organisational data needs. This job is on an Adhoc basis, shifts will be posted and it is upto the engineer to accept or not. Single engineers or teams of two.
Duties
Collaborate with network engineers to design and implement network installation projects involving Ethernet, Cisco routers, Juniper devices, and VoIP systems.
Maintain and troubleshoot telecommunication equipment including CCTV systems, Avaya communication platforms, and related hardware.
Utilise schematics and technical diagrams to perform network installation, repair, and upgrades.
Conduct equipment repair and maintenance on computer hardware and network components using hand tools.
Monitor network performance and security to ensure reliable operation of telecommunication systems.
Assist in the integration of new hardware components and software solutions to enhance system capabilities.
Document technical procedures, configurations, and system updates accurately.
Requirements
Proven experience with CCTV, Avaya systems, Juniper networks, Cisco routers, Ethernet cabling, VoIP technology, and computer networking principles.
Strong data comms experience with the ability to interpret schematics and perform data installations or repairs.
Hands-on experience with network installation including cable management and equipment setup.
Familiarity with telecommunication systems such as CCTV surveillance and VoIP communication platforms.
Ability to use hand tools effectively for hardware installation and repair tasks.
Knowledge of computer hardware components along with troubleshooting skills for equipment repair.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Relevant certifications or training in networking or electrical systems are desirable but not essential. This position offers an engaging environment where technical expertise is valued highly.
