BMH Training is a small business in the private education sector. We offer online courses including CPD, Functional Skills and much more. We are looking to expand our team of Speaking and Listening assessors in the new academic year on an ad-hoc, self-employed basis.

Position Summary

The Functional Skills English SLC Assessor is responsible for the efficient and accurate

Invigilation and Assessment of Remote Functional Skills in English Speaking and Listening examinations

by enforcing all BMH Training Limited and awarding body policies and procedures.

The Assessor will also be responsible for completing Invigilation reports to a high standard, completing candidate feedback and determining a pass/fail; training for this aspect of the role will be given.

This is an ad-hoc freelance/self-employed role, there is no guarantee of work at any stage.

Work will be offered at least 7-days in advance of the examiniation.

Examinations can occur between 10am and 9pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 2pm on Saturdays.

Pay: Payment for services is done by invoice based upon the type of examiniation that is being proctored. Rates of pay will be discussed during the interview stage.

Responsibilities

Ensure that all policies and procedures are followed throughout the examiniation by all parties involved. Conducting fair and transparent Speaking and Listening assessments, using the awarding body guidance for a pass/fail. Proctor the examination making sure that the examination remains under examination conditions. Support candidates throughout the examination with technical issues. Ensuring the security of the examination before, during and after. Preventing possible candidate malpractice. Preventing possible administrative failures. Liaising with the Examination Officer.

Requirements

Suitable High-Speed Internet Connection Desktop/Laptop PC Webcam and Microphone Candidates will require to show a valid DBS Certificate Candidates will be required to undergo awarding body Invigilation Training A Level 3+ Teaching qualification

Experience

Invigilation of examinations in a remote setting is an advantage.

Experience of Invigilating Functional Skills - English Speaking and Listening examinations at Level 2 -

required.
