BMH Training is a small business in the private education sector. We offer online privately funded Functional Skills English and Mathematics online courses and examinations.
Position Summary
The Invigilator is responsible for the efficient and accurate Invigilation of Remote Functional Skills English and/or Mathematics Exams by enforcing all BMH Training Limited and awarding body policies and procedures. The Invigilator will also be responsible for completing Invigilation reports to a high standard, training for this aspect of the role will be given.
Availability
This is an ad-hoc freelance/self-employed role, there is no guarantee of work at any stage.
You control your own availability through your staff profile. You are not required to work at certain dates and times, but there is an expectation that once you are booked for an examination that you attend unless there are circumstances outside of your control.
Work will be offered at least 3-days in advance of the examination. However you may be asked to cover work at short notice.
Examinations can occur between 10am and 9pm (the latest exam starting at 6.30pm) Monday to Friday and 10am to 6pm (with the latest exam starting at 3.30pm) on Saturdays.
Pay
Payment for services is done by invoice based upon the type of examination that is being proctored. I.E 27 for a full Level 2 Mathematics examination.
Responsibilities
Ensure that all policies and procedures are followed throughout the examination by all parties involved.
Proctor the examination making sure that the examination remains under examination conditions.
Support candidates throughout the examination with technical issues.
Ensuring the security of the examination before, during and after.
Preventing possible candidate malpractice.
Preventing possible administrative failures.
Liaising with the Centre Examination Officer.
Requirements
Suitable High-Speed Internet Connection, at least 3 mbps.
Desktop/Laptop PC
Webcam and Microphone
Candidates will require to provide a DBS Certificate
Candidates will be required to undergo awarding body Invigilation Training and invigilator shadowing.
Experience
Invigilation of examinations in a remote setting is an advantage.
Education
At least level 3, a certificate in Education and Training/PTTLS is required.
