Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Admin and Finance Officer to join our fantastic team at Grange School.





Grange School provides exceptional education for pupils aged EYFS to KS5 with Education, Health and Care Plans, diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). We are seeking a highly organised and proactive

Admin & Finance Officer

to join our dedicated team and play a key role in supporting the smooth running of our school's administrative and financial operations.



This is a fixed term contract for one year, full time working 35 hours per week, term time only plus 5 INSET days. The starting salary is 22,710 pro rata and the full time equivalent is 26,403 Grade 4.

The post is to start as soon as pre-employment checks are complete.



About the Role



This is a varied and rewarding role where your attention to detail and ability to multitask will make a real impact. Reporting to the School Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:

Processing invoices, raising payments, and liaising with suppliers Managing petty cash and banking procedures Supporting financial reporting and ensuring compliance with school financial regulations Providing high-quality administrative support including word processing, diary management, and meeting coordination Maintaining accurate manual and digital records and producing reports Supporting pupil welfare, including first aid and liaising with parents Acting as a first point of contact at reception and handling enquiries professionally Assisting with school events, travel arrangements, and general office duties

We are looking for someone who is:



Has experience in administrative and/or finance support roles Is confident using Microsoft Office and financial systems Communicates effectively with a wide range of stakeholders Can manage their own workload and meet deadlines Is accurate and precise when handling financial data Is flexible, approachable, and committed to safeguarding and equality Is willing to undertake first aid training Experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential.

Grange School




The Grange School in Levenshulme, Manchester, provides 247 day places for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans, diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). Catering to pupils from EYFS to KS5, Grange offers a bespoke education through a stimulating environment and the Know and Remember Curriculum, ensuring access to the National Curriculum with engaging activities. Progress is tracked termly using a bespoke data system.


Grange also offers exciting curriculum enrichment activities, including an on-site farm with various animals and an enhanced learning area called Know Globes. Imagination Village allows pupils to practice real-world skills in settings like a post office, grocer's, and doctor's surgery.
