Hiya!



I'm Steph Batey - a former English teacher turned property investor, mentor, and publisher. I run multiple projects, including property investment education, several books in publication and yet to be published, and The ADHDer Project, which supports the ADHD community. I also do ND consultancy and this is going to expand in the coming months. I am an entrepreneur who wears a lot of hats (and spin a lot of plates), so I'm looking for a right-hand person who's organised, creative, and eager to learn.

If you love turning ideas into action, keeping projects on track, and want to gain hands-on experience in property, publishing and digital marketing -- this is a role where you'll learn a lot, fast. I have ADHD (I was diagnosed last year, aged 37) so the ideal candidate will know about ADHD and how this might present in people. I'll keep you on your toes!

What I don't have time for:



Chasing deadlines (I need you to keep me in check) Uploading content Wrestling with Canva, Kajabi, and Google Sheets at midnight

The Role



Job Title:

Admin Assistant

Pay:

16/hour

Hours:

8-12 hours per week (flexible, Mon-Thurs availability required. Definitely needs to be during the day so we can communicate if I need to, but this may vary. I generally don't work on Fridays).

Contract:

You must be self-employed, with 3 month probation. UTR required.

Location

: UK-based, remote with occasional in-person days (approx. 1 day per month, if at all, in my home in Mold, North Wales, or meet me to co-work at a venue we choose, or very rarely to attend an event with me - either daytime or evening networking). Must be willing to do this although it won't be often. As a self employed person, you will have the ability to offset your own travel expenses if travelling to my house.

What You'll Be Doing



Podcast and Video Support:

Very easy and light editing of video clips, uploading episodes to Spotify & YouTube, creating Canva thumbnails, and scheduling episodes.

Social Media Support:

Creating/scheduling Canva carousels and reels, formatting captions, assisting with engagement, and supporting content after guest speaking events (social posts + newsletters).

Marketing Funnels:

Uploading/optimising lead magnets, landing pages, and email campaigns in Kajabi (I'll provide copy and direction).

Publishing Projects:

Chasing book contributors for drafts, tracking deadlines, and supporting with formatting/admin.

Organisation & Admin:

Helping me stay organised with task lists, deadlines, travel bookings (accommodation, flights, transport), and general admin that may arise.

Course Support:

Adding visuals/images to PowerPoint templates I provide.

Google Workspace:

Managing documents, spreadsheets, and forms in Google Drive.

Occasional Travel:

Working in-person with me approx. once a month (Mold, North Wales, or at another venue where we can meet and co-work).

Bossing me about

: I need someone who can tell me what to do to keep everything running smoothly.

Using AI -

I will teach you how to use Chat GPT, if you don't already know how to, to support the businesses. Anything else that may arise.
Please note - I will provide full training on all of the above and I write all of the content, so if you're a fast learner and want more experience, this might be the right role for you.

What I'm Looking For



Qualifications

: Minimum GCSEs in English, Maths, and Science Grade 5 or B. Ideally, you will have English Language or English Literature at Grade A or A (Grade 8 or 9 under the new system in England).

Skills & Experience:



Excellent verbal and written communication skills (essential). UK-based, fluent in English. Driving licence (essential if travelling to my home). Proficient in Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, Forms). Strong Canva and social media skills (reels, carousels, thumbnails). Highly organised, proactive, and diligent. Flexible and responsive -- available Mon-Thurs (hours flexible in the day, but I may need to contact you outside of your set hours (not outside office hours unless you're comfortable with this), so I need someone happy with this flexibility. Creative, eager to learn, and happy to up-skill (Kajabi, podcast editing, funnels, etc. -- training provided). Comfortable working with an ADHD client. You don't have to like a glass of wine, but if you do, we can have a few scoops now and again. Willing to go the extra mile - I want someone who genuinely wants to work with me and not just someone who is 'job and finish'. Willing to learn new things with me - I am an ambitious person and want to grow all the businesses, so there may be new things that arise. I want someone to work, learn and grow with me. Loyalty is everything to me. It is my number one attribute that I hold in high esteem. You're not going to just be 'an admin assistant', you'll be my very important right hand, so loyalty and also discretion is imperative.
