The Role

Penkridge Middle School is a vibrant and welcoming school at the heart of the local community, catering to pupils aged 9 to 13. We pride ourselves on fostering a nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Our dedicated staff work collaboratively to ensure that all pupils are supported and challenged to reach their full potential.

We are currently seeking a warm, professional, and highly organised School Administrative and Clerical Assistant to join our friendly high performing office team. This is a key role within the school, as you will be the first point of contact for pupils, parents, staff, and visitors--helping to create a positive and efficient front-of-house experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of administrative and clerical duties, including handling enquiries, maintaining accurate records, supporting attendance processes, and assisting with day-to-day office operations. You'll need to be confident using IT systems, have excellent communication skills, and enjoy working as part of a team in a busy school environment.

We are looking for someone who is approachable, adaptable, and committed to supporting the smooth running of the school. Previous experience in a school setting is essential, specific training will be provided.

This is a 30-hour per week role; the working pattern is 9:00am-3:00pm, Monday - Friday.

If you are enthusiastic about making a difference in a school community and enjoy working in a supportive and dynamic environment, we would love to hear from you.

Visits to the school are welcomed. Please contact Amy Griffiths (Office Manager) via email a-griffiths@penkvalley.co.uk or by telephone on 01785 413400 to arrange a call or visit.
