Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an Admin Team Lead to join the team at HMP Altcourse, a category B prison located in the Fazakerley area of Liverpool.
HMP Altcourse is the busiest remand prison in the country, so you can expect a challenging, ever changing environment, where no 2 days are ever the same!
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the healthcare team on site, ensuring that patients receive the best quality care, and the healthcare team, are fully supported.
Hours:
This is a full time role, working 37.5 hours per week. Shifts are Monday to Friday,07:00 - 15:00 / 08:00 - 16:00.
Salary:
This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to 33,854 - 38,445 per annum - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As our new Admin Team Lead, your responsibilities will include:
  • Lead a team of 4 Administrators, ensuring that the healthcare team are fully supported
  • Provide admin support to the senior team onsite, including the Head of Healthcare, Business Manager etc
  • Support the senior team with meetings - attending to take minutes, arranging diaries etc
  • Implement processes to improve access to healthcare
  • Liaise with internal and external healthcare teams, including hospitals, and community providers
  • Support with the recruitment and HR processes, including audits
  • Work with the clinical team to improve the overall service

Our new Admin Team Lead will:
  • Have experience of management - this role sits in the senior leadership team so someone with experience of leading a team is essential
  • Ideally have healthcare experience, such as a secure setting, hospital, GP surgery etc
  • Have excellent IT skills, including Excel,
  • Be experienced in minute taking
  • Any experience of using a healthcare system (such as SystmOne) would be beneficial
