We have an exciting opportunity for a an experienced, an ambitious Administrator to join our team in Cambridge as our Admin Team Lead.
The role's main focus will be to manage the administration team effectively within the healthcare environment, working closely with the clinical and technical teams and management to achieve an efficient service. The role will be instrumental in helping to develop and implement service improvements for the betterment of patients in Cambridge, with a key requirement for dealing directly with patients and effectively managing any queries or complaints.
The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic and busy team, and be supported with local, regional, and national training to develop their administrative skills to support the service.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading a team of administrators and overseeing practices within the department.
Supporting clinical staff by implementing effective processes to ensure success of all patient pathways, including Referral to Appointment (RTA) and Referral to Treatment (RTT).
Management of referral and/or workflow pathways for all service users enabling the organisation to achieve RTA/RTT targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Reporting and analysis of clinical administration performance against KPI's to drive continuous improvement.
Data input of referrals into IT systems, ensuring the correct triage/screening process is followed to accurately ensure RTA/RTT pathways are met.
Act as the main point of contact for all departmental administration-related matters, patient complaints, queries and concerns.
Maintain effective communication with patients, carers and professionals by telephone and email.

Experience of working with the public in an office/reception environment.
A willingness to learn.
Excellent attention to detail.
Sound numeracy and literacy skills.
Good working knowledge of IT systems including MS Office Suite.
Remains calm under pressure.

Previous administration experience working in a busy healthcare environment.
