Sandringham is a Care Home specifically designed to a high standard to meet the expectations of the citizens of Bishop Auckland and surrounding areas in County Durham. With 92 spacious en suite bedrooms, hair salon, a variety of lounges providing a luxurious living experience.

Job Overview


We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Administrative Assistant to support our team with daily office operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a professional environment where organisational efficiency and customer service are paramount. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing administrative tasks, maintaining records, and ensuring smooth office functioning.

Responsibilities



Provide comprehensive administrative support to team members and management Manage incoming calls with professional phone etiquette and direct them appropriately Organise and maintain files, records, and documentation in both physical and digital formats Perform data entry tasks accurately using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and QuickBooks Assist with scheduling meetings, appointments, and maintaining calendars Prepare correspondence, reports, and presentations as required Support invoicing, billing, and basic bookkeeping activities using QuickBooks Handle general clerical duties including photocopying, scanning, and mailing Ensure the office environment remains organised and efficient at all times

Qualifications



Business Administration NVQ Level 2 / 3 (desirable) Proven office experience or administrative experience in a professional setting Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive) Have experience of recruitment processes Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively Good typing speed and data entry skills with high accuracy levels Strong communication skills with professional phone etiquette Have knowledge of Data Protection Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving Have experience of working within CQC and Health & Safety Guideline Enhanced DBS will be required
