We're looking for a well-organised and motivated Administration Officer to help us deliver an effective HR and business support service.
You'll play a vital role in supporting the HR team and the wider Business Support team, including recruitment administration, updating records and systems, responding to queries, and helping to arrange meetings.
What you'll be doing:
Supporting the recruitment process, from advertising roles to arranging interviews and preparing paperwork.
Maintaining HR records and producing standard letters and reports to help manage sickness absence.
Responding to day-to-day helpdesk queries and signposting more complex issues.
Keeping our HR database and intranet pages up to date and accurate.
Carrying out general administrative tasks.
Contributing to improvements in how we work and deliver services.
What we're looking for:
A good standard of English and Maths (GCSE or equivalent).
Strong IT skills, particularly in using databases and spreadsheets.
Previous experience providing administrative support in an office environment.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication skills - written and verbal.
A flexible and proactive team player, able to manage competing priorities.
Willingness to occasionally work evenings to support meetings.
It would be great if you also have some experience in HR or knowledge of working in local government - but this isn't essential.
This is an office based role.
