Job summary




Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS) is an executive agency of the Scottish Government and we look after Scotland's national forests and land, one of Scotland's greatest assets, on behalf of Scottish Ministers.



Around 950 people across Scotland work for FLS in a broad range of roles, from business and corporate services supporting functions to managing our forests and land.



The Net Zero function within FLS provides core business systems and processes relating to Administration, Digital and IT Services and Fleet and Buildings. An integral part of this function is the Net Zero Administration Team, which exists to provide essential office and administrative support to the function and other National teams.



As part of the Net Zero Administration Team, you will report to the FLS Head Office Manager to support them with the effective and smooth running of the office in Edinburgh and provide administrative support to teams across FLS.

Job description




You will work within a team of Administrative Officers to ensure an efficient and consistent service is delivered to all colleagues and providing office services to Inverness based colleagues. The role also involves responding to helpdesk queries and directing them to relevant parts of the business as necessary.

Person specification




Experience

Essential:

Demonstrable experience of working in an administrative role. Competent user of Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel & Outlook. Experience of organising and maintaining mailboxes. Experience of dealing with enquiries from members of the public.

Desirable:

Experience of minute taking Experience of working in a dispersed team Experience working with service desk ticketing systems Experience of working to set timescales
