The Vacancy
This is an exciting opportunity to support Property Services as an Administration Officer working within a team of dedicated officers providing operational support here at Wythenshawe Community Housing Group on a fixed term basis.


The successful applicant will provide a fully comprehensive administrative support service to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of Wythenshawe Works; working as a vital part of the team and contributing to the achievement of various objectives.

Please note, whilst the full time hours are 37.5 per week, we have multiple vacancies and are therefore open to considering flexible working options. The roles are on a fixed term basis, ending in either March or September 2026. Please indicate your preference in your application.



The role's responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Provide a range of administrative and clerical support functions to the operation, including data input and retrieval, development and maintenance of spreadsheets, word processing, photocopying, general correspondence, responding to enquiries and handling telephone enquiries; Effectively and efficiently handle enquiries and complaints; Collate information including performance data and assist in the preparation of statistical information within agreed timescales; Work alongside team leaders making future appointments for technicians to ensure service delivery and maintain effective communication with tenants, including scheduling and coordinating repair works where required.

Applicants will have demonstrable experience of developing and co-ordinating administrative systems, effective problem solving skills, as well as experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel. Experience of IT systems relevant to Housing maintenance would also be a great asset.



The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate an ability to deal with both written and telephone enquiries, including handling sensitive/difficult situations with tact and diplomacy. They will be able to effectively prioritise tasks and set targets to meet deadlines with clear evidence of having provided a customer focused service in line with WCHG's core values.
