Administration Officer / Grants Administrator
to join our friendly team.
The Role
This vital role supports our administrative and grant-giving functions, ensuring the smooth operation of internal systems and efficient delivery of services. You'll be providing key support to the Business and Administration Manager, working closely with the Finance Team, and assisting in the administration of grants and local funding applications.
Key Responsibilities
Uploading invoices and payments onto SAGE and supporting payroll/finance functions
Responding to general enquiries and managing correspondence using CRM systems (Charity Log)
Maintaining personnel files, including processing DBS checks
Supporting the leave management system (BREATHE) and preparing annual leave spreadsheets
Recording, distributing, and dispatching mail
Processing website referrals and taking switchboard calls as needed
Booking and organising meetings and events
Minute-taking at meetings and assisting with short-term projects
Maintaining office supplies and ordering equipment
Assisting with health & safety duties, including COSHH register maintenance
Supporting staff with IT queries (Office, Outlook)
Banking donations and maintaining an asset register
Processing Personal Budgets and Carers Trust Grants
Liaising with Derbyshire County Council and preparing information for funding panels
About You
You'll have:
Strong administrative experience in a busy office environment
Experience with finance software (ideally SAGE) and CRM systems
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Attention to detail and a proactive, can-do attitude
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Competence in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel
Experience working in the voluntary or care sector is desirable, but not essential.
