Administration Support Worker

Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic support assistant to join our Barnet Children's Integrated Therapies team.



Your role will be as a support worker to a Speech and Language Therapist. You will support in the administrative elements of their role. This role will involve being present in therapy and assessment sessions within schools with children and young people in Barnet.

Key duties will include various administrative tasks such as taking notes during session, making bookings on the patient record system. Populating clinical documents with information and formatting and editing other documents. Supporting to maintain caseload spreadsheets and ensuring patient data is up to date on the clinical systems.



The role will be based directly with the therapist in schools for 12 hours per week and then administration at Edgware Community Hospital for 4 further hours.



The hours would be:



Tuesday 9-3



Wednesday 9-3



Thursday 9-13



To carry out any other duties commensurate with the grade as directed by the line manager



Prioritise and manage own workload on a day-to-day basis.



The majority of annual leave is required to be taken within the school holidays to meet the needs of the service.

To carry out scanning and uploading paper records on to the Rio patient record system.

Under the guidance of the Line Manager, provide ad-hoc general admin

support to staff based within the SEMH administration team as required.

Any other reasonable duties as directed appropriate to grade



To participate in on-the-job learning, this includes shadowing experience staff,

reading up on service and policies, asking for guidance, and asking questions to clarify points

of knowledge, experience and understanding.
