TRAINING IN EMIS WEB IS DESIRABLE BUT THIS CAN BE GIVEN.

The Vacancy is for 5 mornings a week. 8 - 1pm. With an emphasis on administration and the flexibility to cover reception colleagues during holidays and or sickness. Computer literacy is a must with experience of Excel Spreadsheets, Word To be responsible for running various searches and inviting patients for various tests/examinations. To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of secretarial and administrative duties and the provision of administrative support to the multidisciplinary team. Duties can include but are not limited to, the processing of information (electronic and hard copy) in a timely manner, liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers and in accordance with current policies. Supporting the administration and receptionist teams with patient registration, booking appointments. Support staff with the distribution of information, messages and enquiries for the clinical team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WHEN COVERING RECEPTION



Ensure that patients without appointments but who need 'urgent consultation' are seen in a logical and non-disruptive manner Comply with IGPR AND GDPR Protocols and procedures Explain practice arrangements and formal requirements to new patients and those seeking temporary cover, ensure all procedures are completed Advise patients of relevant charges for private service Accept payment and issue signed receipts for all payments with date Proper book keeping of all receipts on the register Respond to all queries and requests for assistance from patients and other visitors Record home visits onto EMIS system and home visit book, including all relevant information and where necessary refer to the duty doctor Act as chaperone where required Advise patients of relevant charges, take fees and issue receipts as per practice protocol Register patients Attend in-house and ICB/Beth training sessions Take personal responsibility for Health & Safety to practice protocol Any other delegated duties considered appropriate to the post. Ensure you abide by the Policies and Procedures - found in the (M Drive under Policies and Procedures). Dress code - no jeans allowed. Strict NO SMOKING POLICY - see PM if you smoke.
