Scope of Role



Avondale Foods is a leading food manufacturing company of Fresh and Chilled products supplying leading retail businesses including Marks & Spencer, Waitrose, Dunnes, Morrisons, Aldi & Lidl throughout the UK & Ireland.

The Administrative Assistance's role will report to the Head of HR and be a part of a wider established HR team. The Administrative Assistance will be responsible for organising, coordinating and undertaking all day-to-day operations of the office to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Assisting the HR team with the administrative duties and ensuring compliance in HR-owned processes. To lead by example and ensure that you and your team are adhering to company policies and procedures in relation to Product Quality, Food Safety and Integrity.

Key Responsibilities



Maintaining the HR systems and databases, ensuring compliance with GDPR and providing accurate reporting.

Creating and maintaining colleague files and leaver data, ensuring they are stored in line with Avondale's retention policy.

Attend and provide support during new employee inductions to ensure accurate completion of paperwork and onboarding of employees.

Assist with recruitment by downloading applicants daily and uphold monitoring.

Attend recruitment events/conferences and deliver communications on behalf of relevant HR personnel.

Maintain various HR Trackers and liaise with management when necessary in accordance to company policies.

Compile standard reports and KPI data from various HR systems on a weekly basis.

Maintain paper-based HR system through organisation and filing with a view to implementing computer-based HRIS.

Empty HR post-boxes and sort received documentation to the relevant person/s.

Note-taking may be required.

Contribute to the development of a culture of Integrity, collaboration 'do the right thing' approach in all interactions.

Ensure Food Safety compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements to remain audit-ready at all times.

Person Specification



Essential Criteria



At least 2 years' experience in working with related administration. Ability to uphold confidentiality at all times, frequently dealing with highly sensitive information Strong excel and Microsoft application skills Excellent attention to detail

Desirable Criteria



Experience working within the Food Manufacturing industry. Proficient in the use of pivot tables and formulas
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 28,000.00-30,000.00 per year
