Aylesbury Multicultural Community Centre is a vibrant community hub supporting diverse groups and activities. We are seeking a reliable and organised Administrative / Finance Assistant to support the smooth day-to-day running of the Centre.

Job Overview


We would welcome a dedicated and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by providing comprehensive administrative support. This position requires strong organisational skills, proficiency in various software applications, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

:

1. Open the Centre daily by 9:00am and ensure the premises are ready for use

2. Manage customer and community group bookings, prepare and issue invoices and maintain basic financial records

3. Provide general administrative support to the Centre Manager as required

4. Carry out routine health and safety checks and report any concerns to the Centre Manager

5. Respond to enquiries via phone, email, and in person. Maintain accurate records, filing, and administrative systems

9. Processing of invoices for payment authorisation, recording of monies received on the booking platform.

10. Ensure that all correspondence are recorded and processed, and assist with the review and update of the filing system.

Skills & Experience



Previous experience in an administrative or finance support role is desirable

Basic knowledge of Sage accounting software would be an advantage, but not essential (training can be provided)

Good organisational and time-management skills, confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Friendly, professional, and confident when dealing with the public

Ability to work independently and as part of a small team

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.49-12.50 per hour
