Nationwide Energy is a well-established energy consultancy, proudly supporting the hospitality sector since 2001. We've built a strong reputation as a trusted partner to breweries, helping manage their tenanted and leasehold estates with practical, reliable energy solutions.
Following the recent addition of two new brewery partners, we're expanding our team to ensure our high service standards remain unmatched.
As a sector-leading consultancy, we're known for our outstanding customer service and hands-on approach. We're now looking for a professional, proactive Administrator to join our Billing & Metering team.
This is a fast-paced but rewarding role in a supportive, collaborative office environment--ideal for someone who enjoys working across teams and playing a key role in the customer journey behind the scenes.
What You'll Be Doing in the Billing Team
As an Administrator in Billing & Metering, you'll play a key role in supporting our customers by ensuring their utility billing issues are resolved accurately and efficiently. This isn't just a simple admin job -- it requires ownership, problem-solving, and the ability to manage a fast-paced and variable workload.
Your responsibilities will include:
Investigating and resolving billing disputes
- You'll handle queries from customers or internal teams, look into discrepancies, raise complaints when needed, and ensure outcomes are fair and accurate.
Liaising with suppliers and customers
- Communicating effectively to ensure queries are followed through to resolution.
Managing a fluctuating workload
- Our work volume varies, especially during busy periods. You'll need to adapt quickly and manage your time effectively when priorities shift.
Using Excel daily
- You'll regularly use Excel to prioritise tasks, track progress, and carry out calculations to support billing queries and dispute resolution.
Dealing with challenging situations
- You'll often work with customers or colleagues under pressure, so staying calm, professional, and solutions-focused is essential.
Maintaining strong attention to detail
- Accuracy matters. You'll ensure bills are correct, errors are caught early, and customer expectations are consistently met.
Balancing admin and communication
- This isn't just behind-the-scenes admin. You'll handle emails, phone calls, and investigations, working with other departments to resolve complex issues.
Contributing to the overall customer journey
- You'll be in regular contact with customers, often acting as their first point of support for billing issues. Your ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and follow through on resolutions plays a crucial role in delivering a smooth and professional customer experience
What We're Looking For

Previous experience in the utilities or energy sector (preferred).
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage changing priorities.
Excellent attention to detail and high standards for accuracy.
Comfortable dealing with fluctuating workloads.
Confident communicator -- both by phone and email -- with customers and suppliers.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internal database systems.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach to tackling problems.
