Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrator to join our NHS team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by providing comprehensive administrative support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Book appointments in line with set criteria, ensuring all protocols are followed.
- Manage day-to-day workload independently and update waiting lists to departmental standards.
- Process referrals within agreed timelines, prioritising urgent cases as needed.
- Handle appointment cancellations and re-bookings promptly, notifying the Line Manager of any issues.
- Send confirmation letters and respond professionally to telephone inquiries.
- Liaise with staff, departments, and external agencies while maintaining high communication standards.
- Record patient data accurately and adhere to confidentiality policies.
- Provide cover for colleagues during absences and assist with basic staff training.
- Ensure compliance with protocols, guidelines, and operational standards.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and under pressure.
- Proficiency in handling sensitive information.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 8 weeks
Pay: From 12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
