If you have some marketing experience with a \'creative flair\' as well as being highly organised with administrative experience, then this could be the role for you.

The schools mission includes broadening access to this world-class education by offering full-fee assistance places and means-test bursaries to boys who might not otherwise have the opportunity to attend such a school. To support this important initiative, they have created the Access and Partnerships Team and this school has a new role as an Access Support Office they are seeking to appoint to.

You will join this small and friendly team at an exciting time of expansion, supporting their big aspirations for ever-increasing national outreach.

This is a full-time, permanent role working 9am - 5pm. This role can be offered fully remotely with a required attendance at the school in NW London, once a fortnight to collaborate with the team. This role could also be made term time only if preferred (salary adjusted to reflect reduced hours).

The Role:

The formal title of this role is "Access Officer" advertised here as an Administrator.

You will provide administration support in the team that offers opportunities for boys to study at this prestigious boarding school in Northwest London who might not otherwise be able to afford an education without financial assistance.

You will manage the department\'s databases, liaise with parents to collate their financial information during the admissions process and build strong working relationships to conduct a smooth admissions process with other departments. You will also work with the marketing and communications team to create promotional materials to engage the boys and parents.

Key Duties:

Administration
  • Provide administrative support to the Access team
  • Support the Finance team in the collation of financial information supplied by families to conduct an assessment of need prior to the allocation of bursaries.
  • Act as the first point of contact for telephone calls and visitors who wish to speak with the Access team, taking the initiative to ensure that all enquiries are dealt with effectively
  • Deal with confidential issues as needed, treating all conversations/meetings with discretion and confidentiality.
Database and information management
  • Maintain databases of prospective pupils
  • Create and update a databank of partner institutions
  • Maintain and support a database of live enquiries and applications
  • Ensure that contact information for pupils and families is always up to date
Promotional Activity
  • Design and produce promotional material for the Access programme in collaboration with the School\'s Communications department
  • Assist in organising events and community days that promote Harrow School bursaries as well as events prior to boys joining the Harrow family.
Essential experience you will have:
  • Experience of working in a front-line, fast-paced workplace, with highly developed organisational skills so that you can plan and prioritise to meet deadlines.
  • A flair for providing a first-class, memorable customer service, using your excellent communication skills and calm, welcoming demeanour to ensure that colleagues, parents and boys have an optimum experience.
  • A strong creative streak to design marketing materials that promote the benefits of what the school can offer prospective pupils and will enjoy being a part of the vibrant, historic community.
