Job Overview



We are looking for a proactive, highly organised, and detail-oriented Administrator to provide essential support across our business. This is a varied administrative role covering a wide range of responsibilities including diary management, reporting, document preparation, event coordination, and record keeping. The ideal candidate will have experience in a busy administrative position, excellent Microsoft Office skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.

Key Responsibilities



Provide administrative support to managers and teams across the business. Manage diaries, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel where required. Draft and format documents, letters, reports, and presentations. Maintain and update filing systems (electronic and paper-based). Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence professionally. Support recruitment administration, including reference checks and onboarding paperwork. Assist with induction processes for new starters and maintain leavers' records. Prepare and maintain sickness, absence, and timekeeping reports. Support the preparation and presentation of monthly business data reports. Take accurate notes at meetings (e.g., management, task force, or employee relations). Assist with the maintenance of training records and annual appraisal documentation. Update company documents, including employee handbooks and job descriptions. Organise workwear distribution and equipment where required. Represent the company at schools, colleges, careers fairs, and community events. Provide ad hoc administrative support to projects and initiatives as directed by managers.

Requirements



Proven experience in a fast-paced administrative role.

Strong IT literacy, particularly in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to converse at all
levels across the business

Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Willingness to occasionally travel to support events and other UK sites (expenses
covered).

Desirable



Experience with business or HR-related systems (e.g., Sage HR or similar software).

Working Hours



Part-time, Monday to Friday - 33.5 hours per week Monday 9.30 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. Tuesday to Friday 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Full flexibility always required This is a fully office-based role (not hybrid or remote).
