Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Administrator to join our Healthcare team at HMP Isle of Wight, a category B Prison located in Isle of Wight.
HMP is a male prison with a capacity for 1100 inmates. We are looking for an Administrator to join and support our healthcare team with duties such as hospital referrals, managing inboxes, bed watch updates, updating spreadsheets and other general admin duties. This is a occasionally a patient facing role.
Hours This role is part time - 21 hours per week.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 0830 - 4.00 or 0900 - 1700.
Salary
This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to 28574 per annum FTE - depending on experience. The salary would be pro rata for the 21 hours.

What you'll be doing
As an Administrator your responsibilities will vary. You will

• Contribute to the delivery of administration services, to the healthcare team on site
• Work within a busy team, completing a variety of administrative tasks, working on IT systems, maintaining databases/waiting lists/call-up lists, customer service, answering and directing telephone calls, general office duties such as typing, ordering and stock control, scanning etc.

Qualifications required

• English and Maths at GCSE or equivalent
• Experience using SystmOne and knowledge of Read Codes.
• Ability to prioritise workload
• Excellent communication skills
• A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
• Good IT skills and IT literacy
• Ability to work within a busy environment
