We are a dynamic SME operating in the marine, defence and renewable energy industries sector, known for our innovation, quality, and commitment to excellence. Our team designs and manufactures medical, communication, human environment and power systems, serving marine clients worldwide, defence clients across NATO aligned countries, and renewables in the UK.

Job Purpose:



The Executive Assistant (EA) will provide practical administrative and strategic support to the Director, ensuring the efficient operation of the design and manufacturing departments. This role involves a combination of administrative duties, project coordination, stakeholder communication, marketing and technical document support.

Key Responsibilities:



Administrative Support:

Shadow the Technical Director and support where needed. Attend external meetings, taking minutes, and following up on actions. Maintain and manage confidential files and records.

Project Coordination:

Assist in tracking progress of technical and R&D projects. Monitor timelines, deliverables, and budgets in coordination with the team leads.

Communication & Liaison:

Act as a key point of contact between the Technical Director and clients, suppliers, and external stakeholders. Draft correspondence, presentations, and reports for the Director.

Document Management:

Support creation and editing of technical documentation, drawings, or design specs when necessary (familiarity with CAD and technical terminology, or the willingness to learn, is an advantage). Assist with quality management and documentation.

Operational Support:

Help implement and maintain administrative systems and procedures to improve efficiency. Support quality assurance, compliance, and continuous improvement activities where needed. Contribute to departmental initiatives, including technology upgrades, training events, and supplier audits.

Key Skills & Experience:



Experience in a technical, engineering, or manufacturing environment is an advantage. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with project management tools and document control systems is desirable. Familiarity with technical drawings, terminology, and ERP systems is a strong advantage. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Pay: 12.50-18.45 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
