Role Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator to join our new Proactive Support Service. The post is 22.5 hours a week which can be worked flexibility between 9am-5pm


The Proactive Support Service will work closely with and be co-located with the Corporate Parenting Team in Leeds City Council and will work in an integrated way with other health and care services available to our children and young people with escalating needs. There will be a richness of clinical skills and expertise in the team, from a Consultant Psychologist, Nurses and Speech & Language/Occupational Therapy. The post will be based at Kernal House


The postholders will provide full administrative support to clinicians from multi-disciplinary professions including maintaining clinical records, allocating diary appointments and input on electronic record keeping systems. You will also have an essential role in being the first point of contact for service users and others who telephone and attend appointments with our Service. A positive and friendly approach to dealing with members of the public and colleagues is essential.


As this is a new service you will also be involved in the setting up of effective administration systems to support the service.


Previous experience working in the NHS or LCC and an understanding of the systems would be an advantage.



As a team administrator your role will include:

Receiving and responding to telephone calls from patients, families, and other professionals as per guidance Managing team emails Receiving referrals on behalf of team Making appointments Word-processing of document including outcome letters Creating other documents including spreadsheets as required Arranging meetings including booking rooms Taking notes of meetings as required Support the team manager in collection of data Managing rotas/e rostering for team Ordering of equipment /resources as per agreed process Providing other administrative tasks
