Location: Office based in the Shore Type: Part-time (15 hours/week) | Salary: starting 23,836.50 pro rata
Are you super-organised, unflappably efficient, and powered by good humour and strong coffee? Do you love the idea of helping young people learn about the law by taking over the courtroom? If so - keep reading.
The
School Mock Court Case Project SCIO (Mock Court)
is a small but mighty Scottish charity with a big mission: to inspire school pupils through engaging, real-life legal experiences. We bring the courtroom to the classroom - and sometimes vice versa - letting young people step into roles of solicitors or witnesses. It's hands-on, confidence-building, and occasionally dramatic (in the best way).
We're looking for an
Administrator
who can juggle diaries, manage data, coordinate events, and generally keep the wheels turning smoothly behind the scenes. You'll be the first point of contact for schools, volunteers (including real-life solicitors and sheriffs), and partners - so friendly communication is a must.
What You'll Be Doing:
Keeping the day-to-day admin ticking over - from emails and spreadsheets to databases and filing
Coordinating schedules, venues, and logistics for mock trials across Scotland
Supporting volunteer recruitment and training
Helping the team prep for events
Providing essential support to the Board (they're lovely, promise)
What You'll Bring:
Solid admin experience and a knack for staying organised under pressure
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (with a dash of charm)
Comfort with Microsoft Office, databases, and scheduling tools
An interest in law, education, or the charity sector (bonus points for all three!)
The ability to work independently while being part of a small, collaborative team
Perks of the Job:
Flexible working hours
Opportunity to work in a passionate, purpose-driven environment
A front-row seat to inspiring, sometimes hilarious, school court performances
The chance to genuinely impact young people's lives
Sound like your kind of gig? We'd love to hear from you.
